Ohio Department of Health mandates the immunizations necessary for students attending school in Ohio. Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine is a NEW required vaccine for students attending Ohio schools. This information impacts our current 11th grade students.
2 Doses of the meningococcal vaccine must be administered prior to entry of 12th grade. The recommended MCV4 minimum interval is at least 8 weeks between dose one and dose two. If the first dose of MCV4 was administered on or after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.
