On behalf of the entire faculty at Martins Ferry High School, thank you for all of your assistance in helping to get our students back to face-to-face instruction. Without contributions from the entire community we would not be able to provide our students with all of the benefits that come with in-person learning. We are doing everything in our power to keep our students safe while they are in school. Both faculty and students are wearing masks while in the building. Sanitation around the building has been increased, especially in high traffic areas. Students are being dismissed from classes in controlled groups to limit the number of people in the hallways. We will continue with these safety measures to give our students the best opportunity at an undisturbed school year. Please continue conducting symptom assessments with your child before they leave for school. If they are displaying any symptoms keep them home.

We are asking that all families sign up for the Rider Watch ALL-CALL in order to stay informed of important events in the district. Signing up for the Rider Watch alerts is something that needs to be done each school year. It does not carry over from year to year. If you have not signed up, you can do so through the district’s website (mfcsd.k12.oh.us). Under the “Parents & Students” tab you will see a link for Rider Watch.

In the event that a member of your household has to be tested for COVID-19 we are asking that you keep all student household members home from school. Those students are permitted to return to school when they are able to provide written verification of test results. In the event of a positive COVID-19 test result in your household please contact the school and further information will be provided.
